Ten Commandment Hike: Annually, in April, members and families of boy scout troops and cub scout packs converge in the village of Herkimer, NY for a five mile hike. Scouts visit ten houses of worship. Each of the ten Commandments is discussed in each house of worship.
Super Sports Saturday: Cub Scout Packs from the district meet in late winter to compete in Super Sports Saturday. The event encourages playful competition and fosters teamwork. The event is a great way for boys to beat the winter doldrums. Events include archery, pool event, basketball, football throw, ping pong ball carry, crab race, scooter race,soccer skills, frisbee throw, golf, horseshoe throw, and hockey.
